StageSnap ("we", "us", or "our") operates the StageSnap mobile application and website at stagesnap.ai (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, your name and profile information provided by those services. We do not collect payment card numbers — payments are handled directly by our payment processors.

Photos You Upload

When you stage a room, you upload a photo. That photo is transmitted securely to our AI processing service to generate the staged result. We do not permanently store your original or processed photos on our servers. Staged results are stored temporarily in your account for you to download and share. You can delete your images and account data at any time from the app settings.

Usage Data

We collect analytics data about how you use the app (screens viewed, features used, session duration) to improve the Service. This data is aggregated and does not include the content of your photos.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service
• To process your AI staging requests
• To manage your account and subscription
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
• To respond to your support requests
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information or photos to third parties. We do not use your photos to train AI models.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate StageSnap. Each has its own privacy policy governing their data practices:

• Convex (convex.dev) — Database and backend infrastructure. Your account data and staged image references are stored in Convex.
• Google Gemini AI (ai.google.dev) — AI image processing. Your room photos are sent to Gemini to generate staged results. Google's AI data practices apply to this processing.
• Cloudflare R2 (cloudflare.com) — Image storage. Staged images are stored in Cloudflare's R2 object storage service.
• RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — Subscription and payment management for the mobile app.
• Apple / Google — If you sign in with Apple or Google, their authentication services process your sign-in credentials.
• Mixpanel (mixpanel.com) — Usage analytics to help us understand how the app is used.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Staged images are retained in your account until you delete them or delete your account. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and access controls for data at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
